2026 Sale Lots
At our 26th Annual Sale, we will present 26 predominantly polled bulls: 15 Simmental, 11 Angus, and 2 Semen shares in Simmental bull, Barana Vantage PTCPV032.
This year’s draft reflects our focus on soft, early-maturing, moderate-framed cattle - bulls designed to do more with less. These are efficient, functional
animals that convert feed effectively, finish with higher yield, and ultimately put more dollars back into your pocket. Alongside the bulls & semen lots, we will offer 7 joined stud females & 6 unjoined stud females. All females exemplify the maternal strength & productivity Simmental cattle are renowned for.
All bulls must pass stringent veterinary tests for breeding & soundness.
Bulls will be:
✅ Semen tested, including morphology, Breedplan recorded and scanned for EMA, FAT & IMF.
✅ Tested to show that they are not a BVDV Persistently Infected (PI) animal.
✅ Vaccinated against BVDV with Pestigard®, against Leptospirosis with Ultravac® 7in1 and Vibriosis with Vibrovax® to assure you that we have taken all available steps to protect our animals against introducing disease into your herd and to ensure their continued performance.
✅ Vaccinated against 3-day sickness & tick fever [3-germ blood] to suit our Queensland clients.
Due to ongoing dry seasonal conditions, sale bulls have been fed for longer than usual on a light hay/grain mix since January. Our sale bulls usually transition onto crop six weeks prior to our Sale but there was no crop this year. They will present in excellent condition. No foot trimming has been performed on any of our Sale cattle.
To further support buyers, free cartage will be offered within a 300 km radius of Barana and for interstate buyers, free cartage along the major routes from Coolah to Goondiwindi, Roma, Clermont & Emerald saleyards. Free cartage is also offered from Coolah to Wodonga. Conditions apply. Please contact Peter Cook to enquire.
